Compensation

  • Under Part 1 Of the Land Compensation Act 1973 owners of properties can claim compensation from a Highway Authority where there is depreciation in the value of a property as a result of new or improved road coming into use.
  • Claims may be made 12 months after the public works are first used, provided you are the owner on the opening day. In the event of a successful claim the Highway Authority pay my surveyors fee. If no compensation is negotiated there would be no fee payable for my services.
  • Currently I have instructions to act for owners of many properties that will be affected by the Rugby Western Relief Road and the A47 Earl Shilton Bypass.
